Wind Cave - FairgroundTour

An example of boxwork, what this cave is known for.
More boxwork, but it also has popcorn on it as well.
An example of popcorn throughout this part of the cave.
Just a cool rock formation that I thought looked like part of a heart.

We arrived just in time to join a tour on Thursday. The tour is the middle of the road tour and had about 450 stairs during the entire thing. It was an amazing tour and we both loved it. It was great that we could take cameras into the cave and take pictures during the tour.

The cave is a constant temperature of 53 degrees. It was a little chilly since we were in shorts from the drive from Colorado, but luckily we grabbed our jackets before we went in. This is the 4th longest cave in the world. They have 134 miles of explored caves but we can only take tours of about 5 miles of it. They said that they think they have only found about 5% of what the cave actually has. Pretty amazing, huh:)
